We are thinking about all of you down south who may be getting slammed with the next winter storm. It’s going to be a cold week – this post may be helpful if you prepare quickly for lower temps.

Good question! We keep ours in a trash bag that we put inside of a heated area until it thaws. It usually takes about an hour.
I don’t know how people think of these things, what a genius solution! I shared this and the tank thawing suggestion with park staff and they were very impressed.
We visit the RV park in Reno, in the winter and noticed that a lot (all) of the RVs have heat tape wrapped around their water hoses and even some on the drain tank hose with the valves open all the time.
I have a ceramic heater that fits nicely under the valves and will direct warm air up. I have never had to enclose the area but will remember this if needed.
