March 24, 2014 at 4:54 pm #1736@Larry Hey Larry, thanks for joining us. You should be able to get to some gorgeous country with a truck camper.
RVHH Chief Cook and Bottle Washer - LoveYourRV.comMarch 24, 2014 at 5:05 pm #1737We go to truck camper rallies in different states, sometimes 120 or more truck campers from all over. You should see the setups some guys have for boondocking off the grid. They do a lot of beach camping and desert camping ect. They have built in air compressors for airing up tires ect. All kinds of solar ,and systems for extended stays.
March 24, 2014 at 5:13 pm #1738Sounds great, we use to do a lot of dry camping on Vancouver Island in a camper van. Lots of forestry land everywhere with logging roads for access. Loved it. Once you got up to the northern end of the Island you would see a ton of truck campers pulling boats. Fishing heaven.
RVHH Chief Cook and Bottle Washer - LoveYourRV.comMarch 24, 2014 at 5:20 pm #1739Vancouver Island sounds real nice, hope to see the area someday.
July 13, 2014 at 9:32 pm #5324I agree Vancouver Island is a great place to visit.

October 4, 2014 at 8:22 am #6446Hi all! *pulls out the pop up chair* Stumbled onto this site, thought I’d say Hi.
Am currently not full time, but am prepping for it. Already have my rig, a ’95 class C, 28′ long. Trying to decide how best to do solar. I am single, living with someone, but one never knows what the future holds. So, in the mean time, I will try to prepare my rig and get it outfitted to be my full time home at some distant point.
I live by the ideas of staying debt free, living cheap, minimalism, and leaving as small a footprint as possible. Want to get back to nature. Live intentional and untraditional. For now stuck in a Mon-Fri work with the occasional weekend trip. And yes, I camp in my driveway a lot. Early 40’s with grown kid, not a lot tying me down, just getting prepared and researching and reading everything I can.
Cheers!!
October 4, 2014 at 9:45 pm #6451Hi Pamela… You sound like you know how to live for today, way to go. Happy rving!

Well said Pamela, this is exactly how we live.
RVHH Chief Cook and Bottle Washer - LoveYourRV.comOctober 6, 2014 at 2:09 pm #6492Welcome…fulltiming is FUN and how exciting that you get to do while you are young enough to enjoy it ALL!!! Good for you! i am so grateful for the time we had on the road!
January 27, 2015 at 5:05 am #8722I also found this site by accident, but it is one accident I am glad I had.
Plans are to get my 28 ft MH soon and get it ready for the summer to hopefully live in full time. I know it is going to need new tires and a few other things to be road ready, but that is why I joined this site. Hope to met as many of you as I can one day. - This reply was modified 7 months, 3 weeks ago by John.
